I. Manual Gate Valve

A manual gate valve is a type of valve that controls the open-close status of pipelines by manually rotating a handwheel to drive the valve stem, which in turn lifts or lowers the gate plate. Its core components include a handwheel, valve stem, gate plate and valve body.

Working on the principle of tight sealing between the gate plate and valve seat, it allows fluid to flow linearly along the channel with minimal flow resistance when fully open; when closed, the gate plate fits tightly against the valve seat, ensuring reliable sealing performance.

Characterized by simple structure, low manufacturing cost, intuitive operation and convenient maintenance, this valve is suitable for medium-and low-pressure, large-diameter pipelines delivering clean or slightly contaminated media such as clean water, crude oil and natural gas. It is widely used in basic industrial fields including oil and gas exploration, water supply and drainage, and chemical industry, especially for conventional working conditions where requirements for operational response speed are not stringent.

II. Hydraulic Gate Valve

A hydraulic gate valve uses a hydraulic actuator as its power source. It pushes the piston via hydraulic oil to drive the valve stem and gate plate for pipeline open-close control. Equipped with a hydraulic control system, it can realize remote operation and automatic linkage.

Compared with manual gate valves, its advantages such as large opening and closing torque, fast response speed and labor-saving operation, make it suitable for operation under high-pressure, large-diameter and harsh working conditions. Its core features include excellent sealing performance, high impact resistance, and precise control over the lifting and lowering speed of the gate plate, which avoids pipeline impact caused by rough operation.

It is mainly applied in scenarios with high requirements for valve opening-closing efficiency and automation, such as high-pressure oil and gas wells, drilling platforms and large-scale chemical installations, serving as a key control component in well control systems and high-pressure fluid transmission pipelines.

III. Check Valve

Also known as a non-return valve, a check valve is a valve that relies on the pressure of the medium itself to drive the valve core and achieve one-way flow. Its core components include a valve body, valve core and spring.

Its working principle is as follows: when the medium flows forward, its pressure overcomes the spring resistance to open the valve core, forming a flow channel; when the medium flows backward, the valve core is pressed tightly against the valve seat under the combined action of spring force and reverse medium pressure, thus cutting off the pipeline.

Featuring simple structure, reliable operation and no need for manual intervention, this valve can effectively prevent equipment damage or system pressure disorder caused by medium backflow. It is widely used in scenarios such as pump outlets, pressure vessel outlets and oil-gas transmission pipelines, acting as a basic protective component to ensure one-way flow in pipeline systems.

IV. Choke Valve

A choke valve regulates the cross-sectional area of the flow channel by adjusting the opening degree of the valve core, so as to realize precise control of fluid flow rate and pressure. Its core components include a valve stem, valve core, valve seat and adjusting handwheel (or actuator).

Working on the principle of fluid throttling effect, it changes the fluid flow velocity by narrowing the flow channel, thereby adjusting the flow rate and generating pressure drop.

With high regulation precision and compact structure, this valve is suitable for pipeline systems with strict flow control requirements. It can serve as a key component for flow adjustment and pressure stabilization, and is widely used in fields such as oil and gas exploration, chemical reaction systems and hydraulic systems. It needs to be used in conjunction with pressure gauges and other monitoring equipment to achieve precise regulation.

V. Plug Valve

A plug valve controls the open-close status of pipelines by rotating a valve core (usually conical or cylindrical). The valve core is equipped with a through flow channel, and a 90° rotation can realize full opening or full closing.

Its core advantages include compact structure, small size, fast opening and closing speed, unobstructed flow channel and minimal flow resistance, making it suitable for delivering media containing suspended particles and with high viscosity.

Classified into soft-sealed plug valves and metal-sealed plug valves based on sealing types, the former has good sealing performance but limited temperature and pressure resistance, while the latter is suitable for high-temperature, high-pressure and highly corrosive working conditions.

This valve is widely used in industries such as oil and gas field development, oil refining, chemical engineering and metallurgy, especially for pipelines requiring fast opening and closing and frequent operation. It can also be used as a choke valve to achieve simple adjustment of fluid flow rate.

VI. Mud Valve

A mud valve is a special-purpose valve designed specifically for delivering mud media containing a large number of solid particles and with high viscosity. Its core structure adopts wear-resistant and erosion-resistant valve cores and valve seats (usually made of wear-resistant alloys or rubber materials), and the valve body flow channel is designed as straight-through type to reduce medium retention and erosion wear.

Mostly adopting gate valve or ball valve structure, it controls mud transportation by opening and closing the gate plate or ball. It features high wear resistance, reliable sealing and excellent anti-clogging performance.

Considering the special nature of mud media, some mud valves are also equipped with flushing ports to regularly flush the valve body cavity and prevent mud deposition and blockage.

Mainly applied in fields such as drilling operations, mining, sewage treatment and dredging projects, it serves as a core control and shut-off component in mud circulation systems and transmission pipelines, ensuring the stability and safety of solid-containing medium transportation.
